University of Leipzig - 7th summer school

in view of the 7th summer school “Remembrance in transnational and transcultural perspective”, to be held at the University of Leipzig from September 28th to October 1st 2009, it is a pleasure to invite you to participate in the panel “Political History (Geschichtspolitik) of the European Union”.
The summer school intends to link two topics that have been attracting more and more attention in the recent past: remembrance as well as transnationality and transculturality. In this concern, the summer school is focussing on cross-border moments and processes of remembering and, thereby attended political fields.
Regarding the special subject of the panel Political History (Geschichtspolitik) of the European Union, please find enclosed the CALL FOR PAPERS with English and German versions. The deadline for submitting abstracts is on July 20th.
